My cousin Alyse announced she was pregnant a few months ago. It will be the first baby (grandchild? great-grandchild?) on the Hansen side of my family. Last weekend she hosted a gender reveal party, and I dressed in pink.
Looks like it will be a baby girl! Congrats to Alyse and Alex, we can't wait to meet her :)
We got a bunch of Easter leftovers, and enjoyed every last bite!
1. Ham on fresh bread with honey dijon mustard.
2. Hot turkey sandwiches.
3. Mashed potatoes heated up in a pan, alongside roasted veggies.
4. The rest of the gravy with homemade potato wedges and cheese curds.
Matt even enjoyed the leftovers, which is quite surprising! Now, to finish all of the chocolate leftovers...
I spent a lot of my Easter weekend on the couch or in my bed... I was unfortunately a little under the weather.
Luckily, I managed to make it to Easter dinner at my parent's place.
The food was fantastic! I played it safe and tried not to overdue it, so to make up for it I left with plenty of leftovers.
We had so much fun, it was a great Easter Sunday!

I picked up this white Nike jacket from Nordstrom last weekend. It's so cool, I love it!
I've already broken it in with a run and will be wearing it around plenty this spring. Lets hope I can keep it clean... :)
You've seen this walk many times on my blog... a tour around Parliament! Since the weather is becoming bearable,
Matt and I have been getting out for more walks. Hope you've also been enjoying the nice weather!
I love ice cream. My obsession is very real, any time of day or time of year, I am game for ice cream. Years ago I discovered a brand called Halo Top, but at the time was only available in the States. It's a healthier version of ice cream with only 80-100 calories a serving, compared to 380 for the same serving size of Haagen Dazs. While I don't count calories, or mind treating myself, it's nice to have a healthier alternative - especially when you eat it as often as I do...
You can imagine my excitement when I heard it was coming to Canada!! Since it arrived, only a few weeks ago, I've has the hardest time locating any. All the stores downtown have been sold out. I finally found a tub of choco mint at the Metro in the Glebe and verdict is.... It's so good! I can't wait to get my hands on more flavours.
Above left you can see the grocery store I went to. And above right is a photo my friend sent me from another store (not downtown) - it's fully stocked and on sale! Very excited to have this healthier sweet treat, especially for summer :)
Homemade Matcha and Sacred Powers!
Matt and I went to David's tea last week and he picked out some matcha (ground up green tea leaves). Neither of us realized how much I actually liked it - oops. And Sacred Powers is a book I've recently been reading about mindfulness. Some parts are a little hippy for me but, for the most part I am really enjoying it and taking a lot away from it :)
My parents were watching Ruckus for the day so I just had to go over and hangout with the pup.
He's getting so big, and really really strong. Needless to say, he was pretty tired by the end of the day!
