This past weekend we were lucky enough to celebrate my grandfather's 85th birthday. It was such a wonderful night, and plenty of photos to come from that. While we waited for our uber to pick us up... by Uber I mean my parents, Matt and I had a photoshoot of our own. I love getting the chance to dress up, do my hair and makeup!
Hope everyone is having a good week!
A few more photos from Garrett and Crystal's Engagement Party!
If you look close enough, you can see a tired out pup lounging in the sun.
Ruckus was so excited when people were arriving but he tired himself out pretty quickly... poor guy!
And the most recent newlyweds - Alyse and Alex!
It was a wonderful day, everyone had so much fun!
Looking forward to September 2019!
My brother Garrett, and his fiance Crystal had an engagement party/I do BBQ. It was a beautiful day, so we were able to hang out outside and enjoy the weather. I took on the unofficial paparazzi role, of course.
Crystal and her bridesmaids!
Announcing the date and location: Saunders Farm 2019 - can't wait!
And a few more photos coming soon!
Above, Garrett and Crystal's engagement party. I have a bunch more photos I took with my camera that I will share soon!
Sunday afternoon walk with Matt through downtown.
It was such beautiful weather this weekend, I tried to get out and enjoy as much as I could.
And of course, I managed to get a run in.
This week has been a little hot but, beautiful - lets hope it carries into the weekend too!
In my home office I was seriously missing a dedicated work station. I worked here and there, had stuff all over the place, and needed a spot for myself. So I headed to Ikea, and picked up a new desk!
I put it together by myself one night - and am quite proud of it!
I have a couple chairs, my Hudson Bay Blanket, and a candle, so it feels so nice and cozy! It also has two drawers so I can organize my notebooks, pens, and electronics. I love it, and love having my own little work station!
For work, we get to try the new experiences before we put them on our platform.
Last week Matt and I got to go to Tomo, a cool sushi restaurant in the market. We tried a new Sushi and Sake experience!
We sat with the bartender as she made us 3 different sake cocktails, including one from off the menu.
We then got to watch the chef's make our rolls and we ate them fresh right as they were made.
Both the sushi and the cocktails were soo good!! Looking over these photos again, it has me craving sushi....
Can't wait until we launch this on our site (www.goxpr.com) - I think it's going to be a hit!
Seriously, I finally got new shoes for running in. My old Nike Frees are 8 years old, and are so worn out I could pretty much feel the concrete under my feet. I haven't ran in the past 3 weeks, because I've been experiencing a little bit of knee pain, and I can attribute that to my shoes.
I am terrible at buying runners. I try so many pairs on, and nothing feels like my old pair, so I give up. I was missing running, so I told myself I NEEDED to find a new pair. I was going to suck it up, choose a pair, and learn to like them. Instead of trying a new brand, I decided to stick with Nike. Not many people recommend Nike for running but, all of my other shoes are Nike and they seem to work fine for me.
I found these Nike Zooms at The Bay (also saw them at Sport Chek). I love the colour, mostly black with some pinkish/red and white. I chose to go with a pair that has some cushioning, even though I am used to running with no cushion, I figured it would give me knees a break, and I was ready to try something new.
I made it our for my first run in a few weeks and felt amazing after. Sometimes it takes stepping away for a few weeks to really miss and appreciate exercise. I am slowly getting back into running, and am so happy I got these shoes!
A few snaps from my past week!
One of my favourites; the Puke Kitchen sauces. It's no secret how much I love Pure Kitchen, and they've started selling their sauces! I picked up the peanut sauce, and their salad dressing. The peanut sauce was amazing, I was able to replicate a favourite dish but, I have yet to perfect the salad.. still working on it!
And figs are in season! There were only a few fresh ones at the grocery store so I made sure to grab a couple.
After the wedding ceremony we all hopped on a boat they use for the Thousand Islands Tours, and took a cruise through some of the islands. We ended at the reception held at the new Aquatarium in Brockville.
At the aquatarium there was a green screen, we all took a photo, then realized my dress was the exact same colour as the screen... so all you can see is my arms and head! The aquatarium was a lot of fun, there were so many things to do and interact with. Before and after dinner we spent a lot of time exploring!
My cousin Alyse got married this past weekend. We all went up to her parent's house for the ceremony, followed by a mini tour on a Thousand Island's boat, and a reception with dinner at the new Aquatarium in Brockville.
The backyard where the ceremony was held looked absolutely amazing!
This is actually the dress I wore to my prom 8 years ago!! So glad I got to wear it again, and I still love it!
Mom and I. And the little leprechaun who wore ankle socks with a suit...
I have a few more photos coming soon!
