Today Connie had some school work to do so we decided when she was done then we'd enjoy the day. Early afternoon we grabbed our bikes and headed out to Klampenborg. I borrowed a bike from a friend, Connie made a salad, we packed our bags and set out. Once we got there we had a picnic on the beach. We looked for a quiet area, saw that the beach was slightly emptier towards the left so that's where we headed, once we put our blanket down we realized why that side was so empty... it's where people went to swim and sun bathe in the nude. So much nudity! Overall we biked 30km! It felt so good to get out of the city and be around nature (and I am not referring to the nudists..).
Along the way we stopped for fresh strawberries which were delicious! We also stopped to see this gas station that was designed by Arne Jacobsen, a famous Danish designer who was very papular around the 20's.
I am wearing one of my awesome new Endomondo jackets! And Connie is also wearing an Endomondo jacket that I was able to snag for her :) I made sure she got a few pictures of me on the bike because I needed some proof, mom I know you would never believed I biked 30km in one day, wilfully.
I, of course, tracked my workout with Endomondo. Above is the breakdown of the workout, taken from the Endomondo website. Now I an exhausted. I have showered and had my evening tea, all ready for a good night sleep. So glad I have a holiday tomorrow, I may need the day to recover! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend :)
