Yesterday my friend Chase and I headed to Pure Kitchen for lunch. Pure Kitchen is a vegan and vegetarian restaurant in Westboro. We tried a bunch of different dishes and they were all delicious.
Lunch started with a health shot that included tumeric, grapefruit, and ginger! And ended with a sample of Pure Kitchen's cold pressed almond milk.
They will be opening a location on Elgin this spring, and after this visit, I am quite excited!
For those curious to check it out, here is their site:
The other day Lisa and I decided to try the Art Is In Bakery, which we've both heard is fantastic!
It's located in what appears to be an industrial area, just west of downtown.
Lisa doesn't eat gluten and their gluten free selection was bacon, eggs, and arugula... little disappointing.
Overall, I wasn't blown away. My sandwich was good and I am glad I finally tried this place!
This other day I had a craving for fresh fruit! I haven't been eating as much fruit as I usually do, and I craved it.
I headed to grocery store and grabbed various fruit that I haven't had in a while.
The colours brightened up my day right away.
And do I even need to mention that it was delicious? Because, it was!
I was a littler nervous because nothing is in season that it wouldn't be ripe but, I was wrong.
And in this case, I am glad I was wrong ;)
Working Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, you sure do miss a lot of sunlight during the week.
When the sun appears on a Saturday, it is necessary to get a little Vitamin D!
Hope everyone enjoys their sunny weekend!
It's designed to keep you on your toes but, from the minute I entered the dark entryway, I was terrified! I jumped at every sound and may have had to hold a friends hand here or there. Full disclosure, it's not scary - I just got way too into it!
Anyone looking for an exciting, fast-paced, mind boggling, 45mins in a room, I would DEFINITELY recommend it.
I will be back, to try another room. And one day, I will succeed!
I am relaxed, recharged, and ready for a busy week ahead!
Carly (my coworker), Andrea (my coworker's wife), and I planned a little girls
morning which included coffee and treats from Starbucks, followed by manicures!
