After the wedding ceremony we all hopped on a boat they use for the Thousand Islands Tours, and took a cruise through some of the islands. We ended at the reception held at the new Aquatarium in Brockville.
At the aquatarium there was a green screen, we all took a photo, then realized my dress was the exact same colour as the screen... so all you can see is my arms and head! The aquatarium was a lot of fun, there were so many things to do and interact with. Before and after dinner we spent a lot of time exploring!
My cousin Alyse got married this past weekend. We all went up to her parent's house for the ceremony, followed by a mini tour on a Thousand Island's boat, and a reception with dinner at the new Aquatarium in Brockville.
The backyard where the ceremony was held looked absolutely amazing!
This is actually the dress I wore to my prom 8 years ago!! So glad I got to wear it again, and I still love it!
Mom and I. And the little leprechaun who wore ankle socks with a suit...
I have a few more photos coming soon!
Last week we had a mini family getaway camping trip!
A little canoeing - I am surprised we all fit, and didn't tip it!
A few camping staples - smores by the fire, and bacon and eggs breakfast.
I love camping! I didn't get a chance to go last year, so this trip was even more appreciated :)
Last week we went a little camping trip. My cousin Jesse came by with his family and their boat.
After a cruise and a swim, Leah and I joined him for a little bit of fishing.
First line in - I caught a bass! A big one at that, I got scared and asked Jesse to hold it for me...
Not much longer after, I caught another. This time Leah and I actually held the fish!
Sunny, the dog, was pretty excited for us.
Talk about a great evening :)
This week I went on a bit of a health kick. Not that I don't eat healthy regularly but, I wanted to eat even better and try incorporating some new things into my diet - and so far, I feel great! I've generally been trying to eat more whole foods, mainly veggies, watch my sugar intake, and make my meals more plant based. I've still has my fair share of ice cream, and chocolate but they're worth it. I'm going to try and keep it up for the week ahead, and see how I feel!
We had a busy but wonderful Saturday! Leah arrived home on Friday for a visit for a few weeks,
and Saturday my entire family went up to Matt's family's cottage for the day.
Saturday we had a special project - shooting engagement photos for Garrett and Crystal. We went pretty original and took most of the pics with Matt's drone. We got some amazing footage that I will share when it's edited, and I get the go-ahead from Crystal ;). The photo above is a favourite of mine -Garrett and Crystal, the drone, Leah and Ruckus - sums up the entire day pretty well.
And you can't let great lighting go unused... so Leah and I had our own mini shoot with Ruckus!
The rest of the weekend was pretty chill, hanging out with Leah, a little shopping, some work, and some down time.
My new white shorts! I haven't worn them too much but I love them.
They look so clean and fresh, and go great with a little tan on my legs :)
Oats, my favourite.
Dinner at the Barley Mow in Almonte.
Coffee and the new book I'm starting.
And my new favourite hairstyle... braids and buns!
Have a great long weekend, everyone!
With my awesome shell floaty, Matt took some drone shots of me out on the lake.
We learned a lot about the glare from the sun... it makes shooting on the lake a little more difficult on sunny days.
We still managed to get some cool shots but, now we know for next time.
