Matt and I had a chill St. Paddy's day this year, no surprise there. We went to the Bier Markt on Sparks street, which has become one of our favourite spots.
We had mussels and a charcuterie board, both were delicious - oh and a beer on the side.
We were home by 5:30pm and spent the rest of the evening in. It was sooo cold out, neither of us wanted to venture out again (minus a quick trip to the grocery store for candy and ice cream).
Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day and managed to stay warm!
We caught the Sens game in Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.
The atmosphere was incredible and there were a lot of fun/funny little performances throughout.
We had incredible seats, and the game was extremely exciting. It was very close but Ottawa won!
There were surprisingly lots of Sens fans. Getting to see a VGK game AND for it to be against the Sens was unforgettable!
This year Matt and I decided to head to Parliament for New Years Eve. We battled the -30 temperature, bundled up and headed to the hill. We got there 15 mins before the fireworks started, and left as soon as they finished - it was worth it!
They fireworks, music, and lights were awesome! We were both very impressed with the show.

JDay is celebrated in Denmark when Tuborg releases their Christmas beer, or Julebryg. Bars in Copenhagen start selling the beer, Tuborg trucks drive around the city, storefronts fill their windows with Christmas decorations, and fake snow is sprayed throughout the streets! Bier Markt on Sparks street hosted their own JDay this year, and for the first time they brought Tuborg's Julebryg to Canada. I went with my dad and Matt, and we had so much fun! If you a get a chance to make it to the Bier Markt before Christmas, I definitely recommend ordering a glass of this seasonal brew!
Matt's friend Tyler plays for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and was able to get us tickets to the
Roughriders vs Redblacks playoff game. The stadium was packed, the crowd was wild, it was so much fun!
It was sunny and beautiful, but a chilly 3°C. During the first three quarters it wasn't too bad but, by the last quarter of sitting still in the plastic seats, we were freezing. Saskatchewan won, which we were very happy about. We were sitting alongside a bunch of other Sask fans, which made it even more fun, we were so lucky to get tickets to an awesome game!
A few more photos from Garrett and Crystal's Engagement Party!
If you look close enough, you can see a tired out pup lounging in the sun.
Ruckus was so excited when people were arriving but he tired himself out pretty quickly... poor guy!
And the most recent newlyweds - Alyse and Alex!
It was a wonderful day, everyone had so much fun!
Looking forward to September 2019!
My brother Garrett, and his fiance Crystal had an engagement party/I do BBQ. It was a beautiful day, so we were able to hang out outside and enjoy the weather. I took on the unofficial paparazzi role, of course.
Crystal and her bridesmaids!
Announcing the date and location: Saunders Farm 2019 - can't wait!
And a few more photos coming soon!
After the wedding ceremony we all hopped on a boat they use for the Thousand Islands Tours, and took a cruise through some of the islands. We ended at the reception held at the new Aquatarium in Brockville.
At the aquatarium there was a green screen, we all took a photo, then realized my dress was the exact same colour as the screen... so all you can see is my arms and head! The aquatarium was a lot of fun, there were so many things to do and interact with. Before and after dinner we spent a lot of time exploring!
My cousin Alyse got married this past weekend. We all went up to her parent's house for the ceremony, followed by a mini tour on a Thousand Island's boat, and a reception with dinner at the new Aquatarium in Brockville.
The backyard where the ceremony was held looked absolutely amazing!
This is actually the dress I wore to my prom 8 years ago!! So glad I got to wear it again, and I still love it!
Mom and I. And the little leprechaun who wore ankle socks with a suit...
I have a few more photos coming soon!
Have you heard of this new hotel and bar? It's in the market, and the top floor has a bar open to the public. It has an indoor and outdoor section that overlooks the market! It's really quite beautiful!
We were there to celebrate my friend Emma's birthday. It was quite packed, Emma had made reservations about a month in advance, and good thing she did because we got the best seats in the house!
It's a very pricey bar but totally worth it for the view.
Matt and I will probably make it back during the summer to sit outside on the patio and watch the sunset!
