Yesterday Leah and I ventured to Greek Fest!
There was construction nearby and parking was a mess so we parked in one of the nearby lots and hopped on the Greek Fest shuttle. We were the only ones of the shuttle.. And we realized it was less than a km away. So we walked on the way back in less than 10 mins... oops. We do think the shuttle driver missed us though.
We ate, walked around, ate some more, and walked some more. The food was as expected -aka- fantastic!
My dad is retiring soon and his work threw him a BBQ. We surprised him and joined in on the BBQ!
He gave a great speech, and it was a lot of fun to be there!
Congrats dad on all of your hard work and accomplishments! You've been such an amazing
role model and I'm looking forward to seeing all the fun stuff you get up to upon retirement.
Only a couple weeks left - hope you enjoy it!!
My cousin Brianna will be getting married in the fall and we had a family/friends bridal shower for her at my Aunt and Uncle's cottage. We ate wonderful food, played some games, and just got hang out. Since we don't
all live close to each other, it's nice to get to relax and spend time when we have the chance.
The fantastic lunch spread and The Hansen girl cousins!
The beautiful bride to be!
Thank you to my Aunts for organizing it, you did a wonderful job :)
It was so much fun and I can't wait to celebrate the big day!
The Saturday before Father's Day, we went to beer fest!
If you know my dad, you'll know how much he enjoyed it (as did Leah and I).
The taster cups were a little small.. but we got to try a bunch of different local brewers, even found a few new favourites.
We got there early enough that it wasn't too busy but as we left the lineups really started to form.
It was hosted at Lansdowne, and a lot of fun - despite the insane heat.

Matt's birthday was on Friday and I decided to do something a little different for him this year!
We started with a dinner in Perth. We stumbled upon this cute little Mexican
restaurant and patio. It was so cozy, and the fajitas were fantastic!
We then headed to the Port Elmsley drive in theatre!
It was so much fun, we can definitely recommend going - but be sure to get there early, it gets quite busy.
We're already planning on going back again this summer.
Happy Birthday Matthew!
We caught the Sens game in Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.
The atmosphere was incredible and there were a lot of fun/funny little performances throughout.
We had incredible seats, and the game was extremely exciting. It was very close but Ottawa won!
There were surprisingly lots of Sens fans. Getting to see a VGK game AND for it to be against the Sens was unforgettable!
This year Matt and I decided to head to Parliament for New Years Eve. We battled the -30 temperature, bundled up and headed to the hill. We got there 15 mins before the fireworks started, and left as soon as they finished - it was worth it!
They fireworks, music, and lights were awesome! We were both very impressed with the show.

JDay is celebrated in Denmark when Tuborg releases their Christmas beer, or Julebryg. Bars in Copenhagen start selling the beer, Tuborg trucks drive around the city, storefronts fill their windows with Christmas decorations, and fake snow is sprayed throughout the streets! Bier Markt on Sparks street hosted their own JDay this year, and for the first time they brought Tuborg's Julebryg to Canada. I went with my dad and Matt, and we had so much fun! If you a get a chance to make it to the Bier Markt before Christmas, I definitely recommend ordering a glass of this seasonal brew!
Matt's friend Tyler plays for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and was able to get us tickets to the
Roughriders vs Redblacks playoff game. The stadium was packed, the crowd was wild, it was so much fun!
It was sunny and beautiful, but a chilly 3°C. During the first three quarters it wasn't too bad but, by the last quarter of sitting still in the plastic seats, we were freezing. Saskatchewan won, which we were very happy about. We were sitting alongside a bunch of other Sask fans, which made it even more fun, we were so lucky to get tickets to an awesome game!
