Last week we had that one warm day, and you bet you I lived it up!
Matt and I had patio beers! In the sun it was quite hot, even had to put on sunscreen!
And then that evening I got a McFlurry!
Felt like summer, and I can't wait for more warm days!

I woke up to more snow... oh well, here's to more coffee and hot beverages!
Spring will come eventually, right?
I switched up my living space by putting my desk against the wall. It's so fun to change things once in a while, a fresh little reset.
And like I said - more coffee!

Work outfits - who doesn't love getting to dress in Lululemon for work?!
Walking to work catching the sunrise, and walking home with a beautiful blue sky.

Bowl is: frozen mango, spinach, peanut butter, and water and topped with granola!
Some nights I love to get creative but other nights I just want something easy. So, we have a couple go-to, easy, and relatively quick, dinners.
Here's a little breakdown of some of the meals I've been loving lately:
1. Rice Bowls
+ base: basmati rice
+ protein: fried eggs or salmon (cooked with garlic and olive oil in tin foil in the oven)
+ greens: zucchini noodles (quickly heated up on a pan) and roasted bell pepper
+ homemade dill sauce: mayo, dill, lemon, salt, and pepper
2. Simple Plates
+ chicken breast (marinated in peri peri) grilled on the BBQ
+ potatoes roasted in the oven with rosemary, thyme, and olive oil (I add salt and pepper when they're done)
+ greens: spinach and cucumber, or steamed broccoli (probably our favourite veggie)
This past weekend, I worked at Lululemon Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! It was busy but I still managed to take some time for myself :)
Saturday morning run! It was icy and slushy but worth it to enjoy the sun.
The first few runs I have been on this year have been extremely slow but for now, I am just happy to get out and get moving.
Sunday evening after work Matt and I decided to have a nice dinner. We had some prosecco, bbq Peri Peri chicken, roasted potatoes, and steamed broccoli.
It was a delicious dinner, and a great way to relax and unwind after a busy weekend.
I am taking this Monday pretty slow, and getting ready for another busy and productive week!
After work Saturday night Matt and I met at Queen Street Fare for dinner.
Queen Street Fare is the new, and only, food hall in Ottawa, located at Queen and O'Connor. I was so impressed with how cool it is!
There's some fun food options, and no garbages - everything is recyclable or compostable! Definitely recommend going, I will be going back for sure.
Sunday morning I went out for a run! The sun was out, and it was only -10 with the windchill, so the perfect day for a run.
The rest of my day has been spent cleaning, doing laundry, and just relaxing... :)

After a trip I always crave anything green - smoothies, salads, veggies, give me all the greens!
And maybe a sneaky little treat picked up at duty free... my and Matt's new fave whiskey is definitely this Macallan.
Missing the warm sun... until my next getaway ;)
