Look who's here! Leah arrived Sunday morning in Copenhagen and already we have been out and about enjoying the city. Her first day she was exhausted, as expected, but with the help of my napping instructions she overcame her jet lag pretty quickly. She also brought with her some goodies for me, including chocolate, mascara and an amazing new camera. The camera is a graduation gift from my parents and it takes beautiful pictures - as you'll see in this post!
I got Leah to ride a bike in Copenhagen! Although she was, and still is, terrified of riding her bike alongside the locals, she did... all right. She did not cause any accidents, she came close but was able to finish the day without any major disasters. Above we are visiting Copenhagen Business School. Leah was impressed not only by the modern architecture of the building, but also by the chic students we saw wondering the halls.
We went for lunch at The Green Kitchen, a favourite little sandwich and salad place. The aunties who came to visit me should remember this place as we had a lovely lunch there one afternoon. Leah and I then headed down to Strøget (the walking street) to meet up with my friends Connie and Antje and do some shopping!
Part way through our afternoon of shopping we needed a little pick-me-up and stopped in at a cafe for coffee and cake. It was a hygge little cafe and exactly what we needed to continue shopping (don't worry mom, I made sure Leah didn't spend all her money within the first 24 hours of being here).
Now the sun is shining and we want to enjoy every bit of it! Out we go on our bikes, wish Leah luck, and we will be sure to post again soon :)
